A professional racing simulator used by Formula One teams is now being made available in time for Christmas, for hard-core gamers with a big budget.
The Hexatech is an interactive motion-based racing simulator which makers Cruden say offers full motion and realistic g-Force simulation.
It includes three 42 inch screens and allows users to race Formula One, NASCAR and rally cars… which makes the £120k a positive bargain, right?
A spokesperson for Cruden said: "Snooker rooms, swimming pools, gyms and cinemas have been done time and again. Now, enter the professional racing simulator.
"Let’s be clear: this is not a video game linked up to a steering wheel, race seat and pedals.
"This is the exact same equipment used by the top racing drivers and engineers to improve their race craft and evaluate new tracks and car settings."
Ownership is said to be made easy (well except for having enough cash) with full installation and training of the simulator which has a footprint of 2.3 m x 3 m and requires a floor loading of 1,000 kg/m2 along with a minimum ceiling height of 3 metres.
